Emirates Safety Laboratory is a fire testing and conformity assessment facility at Al Warsan 3 in Dubai, serving the GCC, the wider Middle East, North Africa and the subcontinent. It is accredited by IAS, EIAC, GAC and ENAS, testing to around a hundred standards and certifying products against more than six hundred, and works to the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code alongside the North American (ASTM, UL, ULC, NFPA), British, ISO and EN families; European partnerships give its clients a route to CE and UKCA marking. ESL is a government-controlled facility of Dubai Civil Defence, the authority that enforces the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code.
