The Fargo, North Dakota office of CMTA, a national MEP consulting engineering firm — originating as Obermiller Nelson Engineering, founded in 1992 by a partnership including a licensed fire protection engineer, and merged into CMTA in 2022. Fire protection engineering is one of CMTA’s named disciplines, covering fire-suppression and sprinkler system design (fire pumps, standpipes, mains, head layout), fire-alarm/detection and building life-safety plans with supporting hydraulic calculations.
