A400 is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a dedicated Fire Safety Department that provides fire safety design and technical advisory services throughout all stages of a project, from feasibility and concept design to regulatory approval, detailed design and construction support.

The team brings together engineers with backgrounds in structural engineering, electrical and building services engineering, and construction. This combination of expertise enables fire safety measures to be fully coordinated with the building’s architecture, structure and technical systems.

Our engineers are professionally registered with the Portuguese Engineers Association and include qualified fire safety specialists. The team works across a wide range of sectors, including industrial facilities, residential and high-rise buildings, offices, hotels, retail developments, educational facilities and public assembly buildings.

A400 combines regulatory compliance with practical, risk-informed and performance-based solutions, supported by multidisciplinary collaboration and BIM workflows. Team members are also active within the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and SFPE Portugal, regularly participating in national and international seminars, technical events and conferences.
